Our Story

 

 

Kenny Woollen Mills was founded by Carmel Kenny, back in the early 1970’s. She saw an opening for a retail outlet shop offering Irish made products, outdoor clothing  

Originally called the West Clare Craft Shop, her sons opened a woollen factory and supplied the Aran Knitwear so it was renamed Kenny Woollen Mills.

Today, its run by the next family generation – sister & brother; Rosie & Don Kenny.

Holding on to the core business of showcasing Irish products and spreading our wings we are always looking for new and affordable products for both Irish and international visitors.  Also, in the show is the hidden gem – Lahinch Art Gallery, the largest gallery on the west coast and housing spectacular Irish art by Irish artists.
